Tournament rules and information

The Alandia Cup tournament is played in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Finnish Football Association and FIFA.
Time:
 The Alandia Cup will be played in Mariehamn from 16-20 June 2002. The tournament will commence at 08.00 am on Sunday 16 June.
Classes:
Boys / girls date of birth 1 January 1991 or later.
Entry fee:
The entry fee is 118 € / team. Entries are binding and only entries on the attached Alandia Cup entryform will be accepted.

Travel and accommodation:
For acceptance of entries must all travel and accommodation be booked through Ålandsresor/Eckerö Line Incoming tel. + 358 18 28040. All invoicing regarding entries will be handled by Ålandsresor/Eckerö Line Incoming
Opening Ceremony:
The Alandia Cup opening ceremony will take place in the Main Sports Ground Stadium in Mariehamn, on 16 June. Teams will gather at 18.00 in the town square for the parade through the town to the Stadium.
Entry Fees:
Package A:
Fee 85 €/player/leader.  The fee includes:
- Full board and lodging, three meals per day, from breakfast Sunday 16 June until lunch Thursday 20 June.
- Accommodation in a school classroom, from Saturday 15 June until Thursday 20 June.
  Each participant should bring his own sleeping-bag or equivalent.
NO MATTRESSES OR SUCHLIKE ARE AVAILABLE AT THE SCHOOL.   
- Alandia Cup tournament T-shirt.
- Alandia Cup sticker
- Admission to Ålandsparken amusement park
- Bus transport to and from ferry harbours/airport and to match places.
- Free ticket to the Barbecue 18.06.2002
Package B: 
Fee 68 €/player/leader.  The fee includes:
- 2 meals per day from lunch Sunday 16 June until lunch Thursday 22 June.
- Alandia Cup tournament T-shirt.
- Alandia Cup sticker.
- Admission to Ålandsparken amusement park
- Free ticket to the Barbecue 18.06.2002.
Package C: 
Fee 51 €/player/leader.  The fee includes:
- Alandia Cup tournament T-shirt.
- Alandia Cup sticker.
- Admission to Ålandsparken amusement park
- Free ticket to the Barbecue 18.06.2002.
All above mentioned fees will be invoiced by Ålandsresor/Eckerö Line Incoming
For team leaders:
- A specified team leader will be held responsible for the behaviour of his team on and off the field.
- Stipulated rules of conduct should be followed without fail.
- The repair cost of any damage shall be met by the team responsible.
- Smoking and the use of alcohol in school premises are STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
- Permission to use the grass pitches ends upon completion of the days competition matches.
THE ORGANISERS REQUIRE THIS RULE TO BE STRICTLY OBSERVED.
- TEAMS PLAYING THE FIRST MATCH OF THE MORNING OR THE FIRST MATCH AFTER LUNCH HAVE PRIORITY TO THE DINING-ROOM.
- Any serious infringement of these regulations may lead to expulsion from the tournament.
Form of competition:
Group stage where all teams meet all other teams in the same group. Finals to which the two best teams from each group qualify. If two or more teams gain the same points, their order will be decided as follows:
1) winner of the match between the teams concerned, 2) goal difference, 3) most goals scored, 4) drawing of lots
Draws in the final games will be decided by 5 min. "SUDDEN DEATH". If still even penalties will be used to decide the winner on a best of five basis.
Jury:
Any protests must be submitted in writing to the tournament office no later than 60 minutes after the match has ended. Protests will be dealt with by a jury appointed by the organisers. The decision of the jury will be final. A protest fee of 51 € must be enclosed with the protest. The fee will be refunded if the protest is accepted.
Number of players and leaders:
A team may register any number of players and leaders with the Alandia Cup Office by 01.06.2001 at the latest. Remember that any number of players but only three (3) leaders will be permitted in the technical area during matches
Match regulations: 
A player may only represent the club for which he holds a valid player’s licence. Matches will be played by nine man teams.  Changes of players will take place on a rolling substitution basis.  Teams should be changed and ready to play 15 minutes before the playing time specified in the programme.  The "away team" will be obliged to change strips in the event of a colour clash.  The Alandia Cup Office will have a list of all teams colours.  The offside rule will be applied in all matches
Match times:
Group stage: 2 x 20 min. Finals: 2 x 25 min.
Field and size of ball:
All matches will be played on grass pitches, weather permitting. Size of field 64 x 50 metres. Size of goal 2 x 5 metres. The main tournament arena will be the Main Sports Ground in Mariehamn.  All matches will be played with ball nr 4.
Meals for parents:
  Parents may have meals at the school at fixed rates.
Prizes: 
All participants will receive a diploma. The three best teams will receive medals.  Special prizes will also be awarded. The prize giving ceremony will be directly after the finals.
Referees:
All matches in the Alandia Cup will be controlled by referees holding valid referee cards.  Any club with a referee willing to help during the tournament should notify the organizers at the latest when entering its team. Please give the referee´s name, address and telephone number, as well as classification.
The Alandia Cup Office, on request, can help with the organisation of friendly between teams not going forward after the group stage.
